British traveler Aaron Hill stated that there were 2 504 Zaims & 51 579 Timars in 21 provinces by 1709. The average number of Jabelu’s armed men per Timar was 3, per Zaim – 10. So, it gives about 180 000 of Sipakhi (Timariot) mounted troops. See also Marsiglie's data of around 1680 (link)
